Long overdue, the updated release to the pack of weapons from the 2024 weapon competition is here!
Inspired BURST! offers an exciting selection of 15 unique weapons based on other games made by various community members.

Snake Whip by PinkRoboBlaster Whoosh, crack! This snake-shaped whip comes from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and can pick up items from afar, bringing them right back to you. This game-changing power comes especially in handy for getting those hard to reach weapons or valuable large energies!
Cra's Range by StardustMotion There's no escape from this sharpshooting weapon based on the Paralyzing Arrow spell from Dofus' Cra class! Although it has a minimum range, nailing a distant opponent with an arrow from this weapon will cripple their mobility and give you a speed boost when chasing them!
Alucard Sword by CutmanMike Not even walls will keep you safe... Behold, the Alucard Sword! Based on the eponymous weapon from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Alucard Sword is a fairly standard melee weapon until charged. At max charge, this spectral sword will allow you to phase through your surroundings to attack anyone cowering behind cover!
Artery Core by MegaVile Utilize powerful energy straight from the Core of Cave Story's island with this rapid firing weapon! Deceptively simple, this weapon really packs a punch. Keep the pressure up for long enough and you'll have the chance to nail your enemies with a massive, ripping ball of energy!
Deadly Malware by Ec1ip5e As potent as it is feared, Deadly Malware is a weapon that is every bit as threatening as its name would imply. Based on the Treant enemy's Deadly Wrap from Sonny, this dual-purposed weapon homes in on targets and anyone unlucky enough to be hit has to stay perfectly still or suffer catastrophic explosive damage!
Electric Burst by Chimmii Aim for the sweet spot! This lightning fast spreading projectile is a combination of customizations from, fittingly enough, Mighty Gunvolt Burst! By holding the Fire button down, you can control the distance the projectile flies before it splits. Detonating it inside someone will lead to a huge payoff!
Gyro Boots by Woolock Utilize the power of the spin with Gyro Boots, an heirloom hailing from Shovel Knight: King of Cards! While active you'll smack around anyone nearby, but where this weapon truly shines is its unrivaled vertical mobility! You'll passively climb any walls you're near and gain a double (and triple!) jump if activated in the air!
Judgement Rush by Hilman170499 You cannot run from death... or from Judgement Rush! One of the curios featured in Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, this weapon lets you lock onto a foe and chase them down with a flying slash! You'll get the most out of this weapon if you can land the big slash at the end of your chase, so try to corral your prey for maximum damage!
Hammer Throw by Barrels O' Fun Time for a rain of pain! Hammer Throw, based on the Hammer Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3, flings arcing hammers in rapid succession in at unsuspecting foes! Your hammers will do more damage the longer they fall for, and aiming up will give you an incredible lob. Try for the 2HKO dream!
Moon Gas by ThéophileCaceres Capitalize on confusion with the hallucinogenic Moon Gas! This ultra unique weapon is based on the Red Smoke from Poppy Playtime and provides you with incredible crowd control capabilities. Lay down a thick cloud of smog and anyone who dares approach will be heavily slowed and begin to see and hear illusions!
Magnet Sphere by Ukiyama I see you... ZAP! Inspire fear in your foes with Magnet Sphere, a powerful weapon based on the spell from Terraria! When fired, Magnet Sphere fires a magical orb of energy that rains constant lightning down on anyone close to the orb. Don't sleep on direct hits with this weapon, either; it can really pack a wallop!
Youkai Buster by Reemu Prepare to be purified! Youkai Buster, taking inspiration from Reimu Hakurei's many powers from the Touhou franchise, is a multifaceted shotgun-style weapon. Its power grows as you wail on foes, firing more and more projectiles... and that's doubled with draining ammo from their selected weapon!
Plasma Spark by Korby Behold the supercharged Plasma Spark! Based on the Plasma ability from Kirby Super Star and the Spark ability from later games, this unique charge weapon gains power by tapping your movement keys! Each level of charge acts differently, but at max strength you'll fire a huge ball of plasma that can go through walls!
Zangetsuto by Russel Slay the horrors of the night with the Zangetsuto! This frightening blade based around Zangetsu's most powerful techniques from the Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon series replaces your Mega Buster with a quick-slashing sword! Run fast, double jump, and slash foes with a devastating three hit combo!
Rocket Grab by Trillster The time of man has come to an end! Based on the most iconic part of Blitzcrank's skillset in League of Legends, the Rocket Grab launches out a hand to grab your opponents and drag them kicking and screaming back to you! If you distance yourself right, you'll charge up a Power Fist and slam your victim into the air with a massive uppercut!
When hosting Inspired BURST! (or any other weapon pack) it's recommended you utilize the Randomizer Settings on your server to allow custom weapons to appear on any map!

== General
- Updated weapons to be compatible with the latest version of UI Extensions.
- Optimized sprite assets.
== Artery Core
- Reduced hitstun on small projectile.
- Slightly narrowed the random-spread cones to account for hitstun reduction.
- Fixed the alternate fire using incorrect values for the random spread cone.
- Tweaked large shot to not snag on terrain.
- Recharge sound changed to one from Cave Story.
- Removed transparency on flames, flames now rapidly shrink instead.
== Cra's Range
- Removed ammo refund on hit
- Damage 12 -> 8, hitbox radius 30 -> 22, speed steal duration 3s -> 2s
- Minimum distance reduced by 37.5%
- Arrow is now unaffected by gravity until minimum range
- Changed buff/debuff screen tint to an icon
- Changed HUD position to be less intrusive
== Deadly Malware
- Debuff priming time increased from ~0.5s -> ~0.91s (17 -> 32 tics)
- Debuff duration decreased from ~2.3s -> ~0.91s (80 -> 32 tics)
- Debuff activation damage decreased from 90 -> 70
- Adjusted debuff indicator animations.
- Fixed a bug where it could chase allies occasionally.
== Electric Burst
- Can now be held to extend the distance of the shot before splitting.
- Changed from power slot to the ranged slot.
- Post-firing extended cooldown reduced.
- Ammo use decreased from 4 -> 2.
- Main shot damage increased from 10 -> 20.
- Main shot can now only hit once.
- Main shot speed reduced from 80 -> 60.
- Main shot radius & height increased from 16 -> 20.
- Split shot speed reduced from 40 -> 30.
- Split shot radius & height increased from 10 -> 15.
- Split shot updated to have no travel distance limit.
== Gyro Boots
- Adjusted wall collision to be less tolerant.
- Fixed to no longer double hit.
- Outer damage increased from 25 -> 35.
- Inner damage kept the same at 45.
== Judgement Rush
- The dash no longer provides complete invulnerability, but retains protection against spikes and other stage hazards.
- Damage is tweaked to be more consistent, and grants a ~0.29s (10 tic) protection against the attack.
- Attack now deals 25 damage during the dash, and 45 on the diagonal strike at the end of the attack.
- Range of the attack's hitbox is altered slightly.
- The seeking range is nerfed, and will only mark new enemies within a 16m (512 map unit) radius (roughly the size of Rain Flush's AoE).
- If stuck on terrain during the dash, it will immediately end on the spot.
- During the dash, the gash will slowly follow its target, decreasing the likelihood of missing.
- Fixed a few bugs related to keep inventory.
- Bot behaviour updated. Bot will only leave targeting mode when an enemy is marked.
== Magnet Sphere
- Only one Magnet Sphere can exist at a time per person now.
- Range on beam tracers reduced from 450 map units -> 400 map units.
- Hitstun on beam tracers removed.
- Total ammo reduced from 30 -> 28
- Ammo cost increased from 3 -> 4
- Sound on sphere travel volume increased from 0.6 -> 1.0.
- Added fadeout death animation.
== Moon Gas
- Added an additional hallucination effect.
== Rocket Grab
- Fixed a bug where the grab could teleport onto players when recalling.
== Snake Whip
- Can now steal items from players on hit.
- Now has an altfire.
- Fires the whip at a set distance.
- Allows you to swing from the ceiling, though this uses extra ammo.
- Damage increased from 22 -> 24.
- Added hit FX & hit sounds.
- Switched up sound usage.
- Once an item returns to you, it now gets "nudged" towards you.
